Welcome to The Great Highwood Festival 2017
The Great Highwood Pumpkin Festival is the quintessential kick-off event to celebrate the Fall season!
Be a part of history as we attempt to break the Guinness World Record of for the most pumpkins carved and lit at once (30, 851) and help us raise money for Make-A-Wish Illinois.
Come experience a full schedule of family-friendly activities and the charm of our small town that’s bursting with good will and family fun.
Thursday October 5 Community Appreciation Night
Join Celebrate Highwood for our inaugural Pumpkin Fest Community Appreciation Night. With a relaxed atmosphere, this preview night features free admission, carnival rides, live music, a full bar and more. We welcome the community to come out, carve pumpkins and help us fill the scaffolding before the event officially kicks off. The Highwood restaurants and bars will be open and many of our festival vendors will be open for business as well. Our mission is to bring community together with a common goal to grant wishes for Make-A-Wish Illinois. Meet up with old friends or make new ones while working to make a difference in the lives of children and their families with life-threatening medical conditions in Illinois. Join us on this special night. Community, Charity, Celebrate Highwood!
|5pm – 10pm||Community Appreciation Night - Free Admission, Pumpkin Carving, Live Music, Cash Bar and More|
BYOP (Bring Your own Pumpkin). The quantity of pumpkins delivered on site by the organizers alone will NOT be enough to break the world record. To help us break the record, bring a carved pumpkin. Place a candle in the pumpkin, and bring it to our Pumpkin Drop Off location in front of City Hall. All those who bring carved pumpkins will receive a FREE admission pass to the weekend event. BYOP pumpkins will be accepted through Sunday afternoon on Oct 8th.
